The Scituate Animal Shelter, located in beautiful, rural north western Rhode Island is the focus of the Friends’ mission.

Our mission is…

• To improve the lives of the animals at the Scituate Animal Shelter
• To assist animal welfare groups and pet owners to care for animals in a humane and compassionate manner

We:

• socialize dogs and cats
• finance their medical care and testing
• assist in the screening of potential adopters to maximize the probability of a good match between pets and their new homes
